About the group
The Leeds and District Association was founded in 1974 and currently has about 400 members. It covers all areas in and around both Leeds and Wakefield.
Our objectives are to promote interest in and support for the work of the National Trust locally, to raise funds, and to arrange a programme of events and activities to enable National Trust members to enjoy their membership more fully.
Among the National Trust properties which we have supported with contributions are Nostell Priory, Cragside, Malham Tarn, the Farne Islands, Hardcastle Crags, Beningbrough, Brimham Rocks and Rievaulx.
Leeds and District Association welcomes new members. We are also interested in recruiting people who would like to help on the committees and/or with the organisation of our programme.
We meet regularly throughout the year and the Newsletter published quarterly keeps members informed of all activities of the Association and of forthcoming events.
