See the Trust in a fresh light with our exclusive ‘Men at Work’ calendar. Thirteen of our finest have had their arms twisted to appear on the pages – all in order to raise urgent funds to save Seaton Delaval Hall in Northumberland.

The calendar - a limited edition of just 5000 copies - represents faces of all ages from across the Trust, photographed in stunning environments. Among their ranks are a gardener, chef, woodsman, cider maker, master mason and farmer.
With just weeks to go, to raise the much-needed funds, the concept for the calendar was actioned by Sue Herdman, Editor of 'The National Trust Magazine', and Tessa Johnstone of the Trust’s Director General’s office. Photographed in record time by photographer John Millar, the thirteen men (one for each month and one on the cover) have truly been sporting – if unlikely – models.
Sue Herdman said:
'It would be a travesty if Seaton Delaval Hall, Sir John Vanbrugh’s great Baroque masterpiece, was sold privately and not saved for the nation. Everyone involved in the calendar project, including the designer, photographer and printer, has either offered their services for free – or at a substantial discount – for this terrific cause.' She continued:
'We have shamelessly plagiarized the Women’s Institute’s 'Calendar Girls' idea, although the men in our calendar remain tantalisingly clothed. It’s the perfect gift for Christmas!'
- The calendar costs £7.95 and is on sale from 4 December
- Buy the calendar from our online shop
- Prints of the individual images are available from www.ntprints.com
All proceeds will go to the Seaton Delaval appeal.
