Fancy yourself as an amateur photographer? Maybe you're a professional with a passion for National Trust gardens?
The National Trust has teamed up with 'International Garden Photographer of the Year' (IGPOTY) to allow our gardens and exterior areas to be photographed for entry into this high profile competition.
There are around £20,000 in cash and other prizes to be won and all the finalists will win the unique prize of having their photographs shown at a special exhibition at Kew Gardens. The 2008 exhibition is now on at Kew Gardens until November 2008.

How to enter a photograph of a National Trust garden
Full instructions on how to enter your photographs can be seen at www.igpoty.com. All you have to do is download a couple of forms:
- An access contract form
- A model release form
The access form will require a signature from volunteers or staff at the relevant property. If images of people are to be taken it is the responsibility of the photographer to approach each person and get them to sign the standard model release form.
If your picture is shortlisted, the organisers will contact you requesting the completed forms.
Photographers will be expected to pay for entry to the property, or if a member, show his / her membership card to gain access.
