There are many different ways you can get more involved with the National Trust in your area.
Centres and associations
Members and volunteers can get more from their support of the National Trust by joining their local Association or Centre.
Centres and Associations promote the work of the National Trust and make membership and volunteering more enjoyable by allowing their members to share their interests with like-minded people in their area. Through an organised year-long programme of talks, outings, holidays and social events members make friends, learn more about the National Trust and its properties and support its work.
There are now around 200 such groups in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, as well as in Belgium. With such extensive coverage, there is bound to be one in your area.
Centres and Associations are affiliated to the National Trust and have a common constitution. Independent local groups run by members and volunteers for members and volunteers, they have a small subscription charge to cover administration costs.
Volunteer groups
Volunteer groups bring people together to work on a particular project or place. There are more than 60 of these groups nation-wide, so you'll be able to find one near you.
Education groups
Schools can join the National Trust through Education Group Membership. From school trips to longer-term involvement in projects, there are so many ways that schools can get involved with the work of the National Trust.
