If you are keen to find out more about the National Trust and the way we work, you can view the 2008-2009 annual report and accounts here.
You will see in the report how the Trust is working harder than ever in these testing economic times to care for special places for ever for everyone. We depend more than ever on the energy of our volunteers and staff and we know many of our supporters face all kinds of financial hardship. More than ever we need to demonstrate that the Trust is time and money well spent. We must make every penny count and every visit as enjoyable as possible.
Thanks to those who have gone before us and those who work with us now, we can welcome everyone to the inspiration of 709 miles of coastline, 254,000 hectares of countryside and more than 350 great houses, ancient monuments, gardens, nature reserves and parks.
We hope that the report will reassure, enlighten and sometimes surprise you.
