Birds, with their spectacular variety of shape, colour, sounds and lifestyles, are among the most inspirational wild creatures with which we share our world.
The RSPB wants to see a healthy, productive environment for people and wildlife, in which the natural wonder and variety of birds can be enjoyed by all, now and in the future.
The 160 RSPB nature reserves are managed, with a particular focus on birds, for the benefit of all wildlife and for people to enjoy. Knowledge of environmental matters by future generations is essential: the RSPB helps and encourages environmental education for everyone.
It is the largest wildlife conservation organisation in Europe with more than 1 million members, 1,200 full time staff and they involve over 9,000 volunteers in all aspects of our work. A wide range of volunteering opportunities is always available and a full list is constantly updated on the RSPB JobShop.
