Local community groups
Many National Trust properties already have links with local organisations through their day-to-day operations and outreach work. These include links with the Scout and Guide Associations, NHS Trusts and Day Care Centres, disability groups, local branches of national organisations, and schools and colleges. Through voluntary work with us, groups can achieve their own aims and objectives too.
Working with young people
To find out more about the Trust’s work with young people and how your group can get involved, go to youth involvement. Your group could also take part in a working holiday or get work experience through the full-time volunteering programme.
Getting your company involved
How about volunteering with the National Trust through the company or organisation you work for? Find out more about our Employee Volunteering Programme.
Well-established national partnerships already exist with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme, the Prince’s Trust's Volunteers Programme, Raleigh International, YHA and the National Association of Decorative and Fine Art Societies (NADFAS).
Associations
If you are a Trust member you could also join one of over 190 associations, centres or clubs. These are social groups that combine fundraising and other voluntary work with an active programme including excursions, talks, and holidays in Great Britain and abroad.
