Young Heritage Leaders is a leadership training programme run by the National Trust in partnership with the Careers Research and Advisory Centre (CRAC).
Through planning, managing and leading outdoor conservation projects young people can develop team leadership skills and receive:
- ILM** Level 2 Introductory Certificate in Team Leading
- Recognition from The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (Gold Residential Access Certificate)
- John Muir Discovery Award
The programme includes:
- Initial four-day residential at a National Trust property
- Online learning with the support of a mentor
- Individual challenge in your community
- Two-day residential including final assessment at a National Trust property
Young Heritage Leaders courses are recognised by The Duke of Edinburgh's Award for completion of the Gold Residential project and are also suitable for Queen's Scout Award participants.
