Art in Action is a must-see event for families and individuals passionate about the visual arts and creative performances. Purchase two adult tickets for £10 each (standard price is £15 per adult ticket), saving £10 off the full price.
Art in Action is one of the UK’s longest running arts and craft festivals and will take place on 17-20 July 2008.
Staged in the grounds of the graceful Georgian house at Waterperry, Oxfordshire, Art in Action is the only art fair where so many artists can be seen at work. This four day event is packed with inspiration and beauty. Visitors can learn or buy from the artists who set up their studios in one of the many Art in Action marquees.
More than 200 artists and craftsmen from around the world will take part in Art in Action in 2008. There are marquees which bring together practitioners of the same discipline and others which bring together artists from the same culture: painting, sculpture, drawing and printmaking; ceramics; calligraphy and illustration; glass; metalwork and jewellery; textiles, woodwork and Arts of Asia.

In addition, Art in Action offers fine music, performing artists, storytelling for children and dialogues on creativity and work. There are guided tours of the beautiful Waterperry gardens where picnics are popular and also of the exquisite frescos on the walls of Waterperry House that were completed in 2006 - a 10-year project.
There is also a wide range of refreshments; cream teas from the Pear Tree Restaurant, a good selection of wines, champagne and Pimms served on the lawn in front of the house and numerous food stalls throughout the site.
