Get involved
Children's games, welly-tossing and trails are just some of the family activities that are taking place. For those of you who want to learn from the experts, there will be talks and demonstrations and giveaways about energy efficiency, green gardening, water saving and much more.
Tasty food
Promoting local, high quality food is high on the National Trust's agenda, and the Big Green Day Out will be no exception. From local farmers markets, to food produced on National Trust estates, you can be sure to find plenty of food to tantalize your tastebuds.

Keeping the footprint small
Each of the fairs will be run with minimal environmental impact. Visitors are encouraged to travel by public transport or under their own steam. Where possible, power will be generated at the site and all rubbish will be put to good use as either part of a compost heap or added to the onsite recycling.
