    Treasurer's House

Boasting a 2,000 year history, the splendid interiors and elegant formal garden of Treasurer’s House was originally home to the treasurers of York Minster, and built over a Roman road.

Nestled directly behind the Minster, its size, splendour and contents are a surprise to visitors, as are its famous ghost stories. Many of the distinctive rooms have been the venue for royal visits over the last few centuries. Today Treasurer’s House makes a perfect city-centre venue for entertaining and impressing your guests within elegant and prestigious surroundings.
