School's out for a week and the Trust is ready to entertain children and adults alike. Come along to our properties and enjoy treasure trails, Tudor tasting days, tile painting workshops, amateur archaeology and even cartoon and film creation.

Paint your own tile as a souvenir of your visit, glaze it and take it home on the same day!
Smugglers Treasure Trail Bateman's, East Sussex - 24 May - 1 June 11am - 5pm

Somewhere in the garden smugglers, who lived in the village, have hidden their loot. Find out where it is and why they wanted it. There will be a prize at the end.

Wildlife Activity Trails Trelissick Garden, Cornwall - Various dates

Follow a trail full of interesting facts and wildlife spotting; listen to storytelling on the unique tale of Trelissick's Gilbert the Squirrel; join in with craft sessions inspired by Trelissick's iconic Water Tower, and have your face painted with birds, animals and insects. Hidden Nature week sees the launch of the Trelissick 2008 photographic competition - so bring along your camera!
A Close Shave Hardwick Hall, Derbyshire - 25 May 10am - 4pm

See the sheep have their annual hair cut in time for the warm summer as our Hardwick Farmer shears over 300 sheep throughout the day, and find out more about our rare breeds kept on the Hardwick Estate.

Tudor Tasting Day Tudor Merchant's House, Pembrokeshire - 26 May 11am - 4.30pm

Discover what the Tudor Merchant and his family would have eaten and how they lived their daily lives. Staff will be in Tudor costume, there's a special quiz to try, and a chance for children to dress up in Tudor costume too.
