Since 1976 visitors to Arlington have had the opportunity ‘travel back in time’ in a trip in a real working carriage, pulled by two horses and driven by our Head Coachman and Groom. They also provide carriage driving lessons and host Carriage Driving Experience Days.

Arlington is the ideal place to try carriage driving, with its mix of private roads and country lanes around the estate. We have a full range of facilities including a rein simulator, traffic-free training areas with cones and even a reference library containing books on driving and harnessing skills and care and maintenance of the carriage.
If you want to learn to drive a carriage or just want to try something different, Arlington Court’s experienced staff can tailor the training to your needs.
Private Tuition: For one or two people.
