Arlington Court, an intimate and intriguing house hidden in a wooded valley on the edge of Exmoor in North Devon, provides an idyllic setting for a wedding ceremony.
The charming Victorian interior is the perfect venue for your special day, from the grand Staircase Hall, to the more intimate Music Room for smaller ceremonies.

The Staircase Hall
This splendid space is dominated by the flamboyant Victorian imperial staircase installed in 1865. The stairs now ascend, guarded by a pair of yacht’s cannon, to a landing lit by three stained glass windows in the form of heraldic shields commemorating Chichester family marriages from 1505 to 1865.

The Music Room
This intimate room was used as a Music Room by the Chichester family. It contains a grand-piano by AJ Bord of Paris, built in 1866 it is the only example by that maker in the National Trust’s possession. There is a magnificent oak bookcase, original to the house, filled with ceramics, notably Meissen and Sèvres pieces.

When can civil wedding ceremonies be held at Arlington Court?
Wedding ceremonies can take place from March to October on Saturdays only, but not on Bank Holiday weekends. In November and December they can take place on any day, subject to availability. Contact the property to ensure the date you require is available.
Receptions
Arlington Court is not available for wedding receptions.
