Avebury is one of the most important megalithic monuments in Europe and is spread over a vast area. Many of the stones were re-erected in the 1930s by archaeologist Alexander Keiller. Avebury Manor Garden is a timeless and tranquil space at the heart of this historic village. Redesigned in the early 20th century, a series of outdoor rooms allows you to enjoy topiary, formal gardens, orchards and walkways.
Please note that due to on-going conservation work some sections of the stone circle may be closed. Avebury stone circle is in the Guardianship of English Heritage and managed on their behalf by the National Trust
