Influenced by Gertrude Jekyll, this enchanting formal garden is laid out in a series of walled rooms which are awash with colour. The working stone-walled kitchen garden produces a variety of wonderful fruit and vegetables, which can be enjoyed in the restaurant, while the arboretum delights visitors with vivid autumn hues. The Tudor manor house was restored in the 1920s by the Lyle family. It was let as furniture showrooms for a period until 2009, but is now open to visitors.
