About this property This fine example of Restoration architecture was built in 1685-88 for 'Young' Sir John Brownlow and recently featured in the BBC's adaptation of Jane Eyre. Enjoy stunning rooms displayed in 17th-century, Regency, Victorian and 1930s style, with fine furnishings, tapestries, paintings and Grinling GIbbons wood carvings. Outside, the tranquil gardens, richly planted Orangery and wonderful lakeside walks are a delight to explore.
