    Children & families

    At BMAC we run both children's adventure days and family fun weeks at various times during the school holidays.

    Mountain biking at BMAC, Norfolk

    These events emphasis the fun that can be had when exploring the environment through outdoor pursuits. We are outside as much as possible to keep the children entertained, making the most of the coast that surrounds us.

    These activities could include:

    • kayaking in tidal creeks
    • sailing in our Drascombe longboat
    • exploring the saltmarsh at low tide
    • participating in an orienteering challenge
    • team-building challenges and games

    These are non-residential day events that run during school holidays throughout the year.

    Activities could include longboat sailing, kayaking, orienteering, saltmarsh safari and mountain biking.

    Our adventure days are suitable for 8 - 14 year olds and National Trust staff are responsible for participants during the day (9am - 4.30pm)

    Family fun weeks

    Our family fun weeks are run during school holidays. Whilst you stay at the centre as a family, we offer a range of outdoor activities for your children - leaving you free to explore North Norfolk.

    The first family fun week is on the 4-8 August. You can liven up your summer holidays with a week of water sports, mountain biking and orienteering. Ramble along a muddy harbour, catch a crab or relax and let the wind sail you round.

    The second week is 18-22 August. Enjoy a fun packed week of sailing, kayaking, cycling, orienteering and much more. Go in search of treasure and join us as we overcome the defences of a Norman Castle.

    Booking is essential for all ouf our family fun weeks and children's adventure days. To book or check availability please contact the centre management by calling 01485 210719 or emailing brancaster@nationaltrust.org.uk

    Alternatively you can download both a booking and parental consent form and return them via post to the centre.

    Prices

    The prices for the Family Fun Weeks range from £169-£252 per person inc. all meals, accommodation, tuition and equipment.
