Our day visit programme offers schools a mix of habitat studies, historical investigations and outdoor pursuits. Activity days can be organised during school term and school holidays.

Activities during school term
The equivalent of two half day activities can be chosen
Half day
- Orienteering: An exciting map and compass challenge with stunning coastal views
- Team Building: Challenges including ‘Spider’s Web’ and rope & blindfold games
- Sand Dune Investigation: Using field study equipment and teamwork, pupils discover more about sand dune habitats
- Coastal Processes: Discover how beaches are formed and search for different natural and man-made ways of defending the coast. Concludes with a stimulating debate
- Woodland Habitats: Using keys and senses pupils identify different trees, build models to show how green plants work, and collect mini-beasts to complete the picture
- Roman Site: Be an archaeological detective to find out more about life in the fort of Branodunum
- Titchwell RSPB reserve: Children use binoculars and telescopes to study the incredible variety of birds on the North Norfolk coast.

Activities during school holidays
The equivalent of two half day activities can be choosen
For up to 30 children we can offer the following activities:
Half day
- Sailing: (Tide dependent) A qualified and experienced instructor shows the children how to sail our stable 21-foot Drascombe longboat around the harbour
- Orienteering: An exciting map and compass challenge with stunning coastal views
- Cycling: This requires a degree of proficiency as cycling takes place on and off road
- Team Building: Challenges including ‘Spider’s Web’ and rope & blindfold games
- Beach fun: Fun games and sand sculptures. Swimming is not allowed
- Titchwell RSPB reserve: Children use binoculars and telescopes to study the incredible variety of birds on the North Norfolk coast.
For groups with less than 15 children we can also offer:
Half day
- Kayaking: (April to October inclusive, tide dependent) Children explore the sheltered creeks from a kayak. A fun, personal challenge led by a qualified instructor.
