At the heart of the estate lies Lower Brockhampton, a romantic timber-framed manor house dating back to the late 1300s. It was built for John Domulton, a descendent of the Brockhampton family who had been here from at least the 12th century. The house is surrounded by a moat and is entered via a charming timber-framed gatehouse. S0682546
