Admission Prices
£5.20, child £2.60, family £13. Groups £4.40, child £2.20, Group visits outside normal hours £3.60. Prices include Gift Aid Admission. Ferry fare (not NT) applies to all visitors. |

Important Note
Brownsea Island is only accessible by boat. Ferry trips (not NT) depart from Poole Quay, Sandbanks Jetty and Bournemouth Pier. Part of the island is leased to Dorset Wildlife Trust, tel. 01202 709445 for information. Please note there is an additional charge to access their reserve. Brownsea Island Castle is leased to the John Lewis Partnership and is not open to the public. |

WCs are located at Visitor Reception, the Visitor Centre and the Baden-Powell Outdoor Centre. |

Dogs
Brownsea Island is a nature reserve and home to a range of wildlife and nesting birds, therefore, no dogs are allowed on the island, except assistance dogs. |

Picnic areas
There are picnic benches and a picnic shelter on Horse Field, as well as lots of other lovely spots around the island to throw down a rug and enjoy a picnic. |

Refreshments
Enjoy the views at the Villano Café, which overlooks the sea and the many boats sailing by in Poole Harbour. Hot and cold refreshments, children's lunch boxes and ice creams available.
The Sweet Shop, next to the café, sells sweets, ice creams and drinks. |

Shopping
A National Trust shop, next to the café, sells a wide range of souvenirs and gifts, including local Dorset products and our own Brownsea Island range.
The Trading Post, at the Baden-Powell Outdoor Centre, sells Scout and Guide souvenirs. |

Visitor centre
The Visitor Centre has information displays and an introductory DVD about the history and wildlife of the island and activities for children. |

Self-guided trail leaflets available from the Visitor Centre.
Tracker Packs are available to borrow from the Visitor Centre to help younger visitors and their families explore the island and discover its fascinating wildlife and history. |

Learning
We welcome group visits to the island. We can help you plan your visit and offer discount rates for groups booking in advance. We also offer a learning programme for schools and youth groups.
