Brownsea Island is renowned for its peaceful car-free atmosphere and diversity of wildlife and habitats. It offers a unique stimulus for learning and exploration, for all ages and abilities.
Facilities for learning
Groups can book activities led by our Community & Learning Officer and volunteers.
The Visitor Centre provides a fully equipped learning resource for group visits to Brownsea. The Centre has displays about the history, wildlife and management of the island. It also provides a bookable ‘activity space’.
There is a charge of £1 per student for all activities led by our staff or £0.50 per student for the use of the Visitor Centre for self-led activities.
