    For families

Family Learning Events are fun ways of discovering the local environment as a family, and learning how to protect it for future generations.

The weekends are designed to encourage families and friends to come together for activity-packed workshops. Saturday workshops tend to have a science focus and Sunday workshops are arts-based.

The activities are suitable for children of primary school age, with at least one accompanying adult for every two children. All materials are provided, but booking is essential as spaces are limited.

See 'What's on' for details of future Family Learning Weekends.

Family Learning Weekends are run in partnership with the Great Western Community Forest and FACE (Faringdon Area Community Education).

    Guided Walks and Painting Places

Guided walks are available on a regular basis. They include the River Restoration Project on the River Cole, the Victorian Model Farm and history and landscape walks.

Painting Places offers the opportunity to visit the estates and paint with the guidance of a local artist.

For further information and details of how to book, please see What's on.
