Houses the Faringdon Collection of art established in the late 19th century by Alexander Henderson later Ist Lord Faringdon, which includes Old Master paintings by Rembrandt, Botticelli and Murillo as well as works by Pre-Raphaelite artists such as Burne-Jones and Rossetti and furniture designed by Robert Adam and Thomas Hope. Beautiful landscaped gardens containing the famous water garden designed by Harold Peto.
