    Weddings at Castle Ward

    Castle Ward sits in a stunning location on the shores of Strangford Lough.

    The breathtaking approach to the magnificent Mansion is awe inspiring and the beautiful woodlands, gardens and parklands provide endless dramatic vistas.

    These surroundings combined with the grandeur of the Mansion offer the perfect venue for your wedding day.

    There are many rooms available for hire all year round, from an intimate suite in the Mansion to a large, old style theatre nestled between a private courtyard and truly beautiful stableyard.

    Strangford Suite

    A bright and welcoming first floor room on the Classical side of this unique house, comfortably furnished and decorated with original pieces, and with an adjacent fully-functional kitchen.

    • Capacity: up to 25
    • Price: £501 - £1,000 + VAT

    Mansion Hall

    A Neo-Classical 18th-century hall of assembly with richly decorated walls, a scaglioli colonnade and a Georgian ceiling enhanced by a 19th-century crystal chandelier.

    • Capacity: up to 55
    • Price: £1,000 - £2,000 + VAT

    The Theatre

    The Theatre is small and charming and is located in the large barn in the stableyard, where performances by Castle Ward Opera take place every year. It is convenient for both the tea-room gardens and house.

    Courtyard Marquee

    The Marquee sits in a private courtyard next to the Theatre and is conveniently located to all facilities.

    Stableyard Tea-room

    The Stableyard Tea-room has a relaxed old world feel with its red tiled floor and stone wall archways.

    • Capacity: up to 75

    When can civil wedding ceremonies be held at Castle Ward?

    The Strangford Suite, Mansion Hall and Theatre are all licensed for civil wedding ceremonies and are available all year round.

    Receptions

    Wedding receptions can be held in the Theatre, Courtyard Marquee, Strangford Suite, Stableyard Tea-room, and in parkland and garden areas.
