Mobility information
Parking
12 accessible parking spaces, 125 metres from the main visitor facilities, 340 metres from the walled kitchen garden and 210 metres from the Chapel. Fantastic views across the lake are available at the lake arm, Hardwick village and Bridge car parks.
WC
Accessible WCs by the main visitor facilities and behind the conservation centre, the latter being operated by a RADAR key out of normal opening hours.
Pathways and open space
13 miles of tarmac roads throughout the property. Paths around main visitor facilities are wide and flat with a good solid surface. There are a selection of grassy, gravelly and uneven areas. Woodland and parkland paths can be uneven and rough.
All-ability trails
Three routes recommended for wheelchair and powered mobility vehicle users. A variety of paths meander through the Pleasure Ground. Leaflets, including a map, are available from the cycle hire centre and visitor enquiries point.
Seating, rest points and shelter
Seating can be found throughout the property, particularly by the visitor facilities and pleasure ground.
On site transport
Wheelchairs and powered mobility vehicles are available to borrow from the cycle hire centre, pre-booking recommended on 01909 544 917. A donation for their up-keep would be greatly appreciated.
Visitor centre
The Clumber Story has a level entrance.
Shop
Both the shop and plant sales have level entrances.
Refreshments
Accessible tables and chairs available. Restaurant and Simple Foods kiosk have level entrances.
Other buildings
Cycle hire and conservation centres have level entrances. The long range glasshouse in the walled kitchen garden and the chapel have alternative ramped entrances.
