Parking
Small car park at Tarn Hows for visitors with disabilities, offers great views over the tarn. Three designated spaces in the main Tarn Hows car park, gives access to the Tarn Hows circular path.
All-ability trails
From the Tarn Hows disabled car park a good-quality flat path leads 300m to a viewpoint with bench. Enjoy excellent views of the tarn and the Langdale Pikes.
The Tarn Hows circular path was resurfaced in 2007 with compacted slate to offer an easy access 2ml loop. The route includes several hills with up to 1:5 gradients. Some shorter slopes have 1:4 gradients. Two strong helpers are recommended to assist most wheelchair users. All gates are wheelchair-accessible.
