The house has fine collections of furniture, porcelain and family portraits, and fascinating connections with the Gunpowder Plot. The family has created and developed the award-winning gardens. Highlights include the walled garden with its spectacular displays of roses, hot and cool herbaceous borders, the bog garden and walks beside the river and lake.
