About this property
One of England's finest Tudor houses, Coughton Court has been the home of the Throckmorton family for 600 years. The house has fine collections of furniture, porcelain and family portraits, and fascinating connections with the Gunpowder Plot. The family has created and developed the award-winning gardens. Highlights include the walled garden with its spectacular displays of roses, hot and cool herbaceous borders, the bog garden and walks beside the river and lake. There are two churches, the 19th-century Catholic church and the pre-Reformation parish church of St Peter's.
