| Croome was 'Capability' Brown's first complete landscape, making his reputation and establishing a new style of parkland design which became universally adopted over the next fifty years. The elegant park buildings and other structures are mostly by Robert Adam and James Wyatt. Restoration work is ongoing. | | | | The Trust acquired 270ha (670 acres) of the park in 1996 with substantial grant aid from the Heritage Lottery Fund and a generous donation from Royal & SunAlliance. Tours cover approximately 1½ml and include a steep hill that less mobile visitors may find difficult. There is an alternative car park and these visitors could rejoin the group later on the walk.
