There are lots of events all year round, from guided walks and guided bike rides, to family bug hunts. Seasonal specialities include an Easter egg trail and a Halloween walk.
Family highlights
A fantastic place to fly a kite, have picnics and just enjoy a bit of a run around. Family Discovery Packs are available to hire for £2 from our information trailer.
Walking
The South Downs Way runs alongside the Devil's Dyke, but there are lots more footpaths to explore.
A self-guided walks leaflet is available from the pub or our information trailer. A South Downs walks pack is also available from our information trailer or can be posted to you via a SAE with a cheque of £3.50.
Cycling
A network of bridleways criss-cross the Devil's Dyke estate and offer great cycling for both novice riders and more experienced mountain-bikers.
Kite or model flying
Model aircraft flying takes place east of the white markers near the Devil's Dyke car park.
Orienteering
A permanent orienteering course (novice to expert level) explores the beautiful downland and woodland around Devil's Dyke.
A map is available for £1 from our information trailer.
Paragliding or hang-gliding
Devil's Dyke is one of Europe's finest sites for paragliding and hang-gliding.
Get involved
We're always looking for more volunteers to help care for the Devil's Dyke estate. Volunteering sessions run every alternate Wednesday and Sunday throughout the year. Why not come along for a bit of exercise, new skills and a great chance to meet interesting people. Alternatively you might want to get involved with our education programme or just help out in the office. Contact us for more information and a newsletter.
Two working holidays take place a year, they focus on fencing, footpath restoration and 'scrub-bashing' projects.
