    Orcombe Point
    Geoneedle, Orcombe Point
A 5 metre high stone sculpture, known as a geoneedle, stands at the summit of Orcombe Point near Exmouth. It represents all the rocks found in the cliffs of the Jurassic Coast and marks the westerly extent of the World Heritage Site. Here you will also find sandy beaches and green winged orchids, which produce purple flowers in late April. SY025795

    Salcombe Hill
An 'access for all' path at Salcombe Hill leads out to a viewpoint on the cliff top, which affords excellent views over Sidmouth and as far away as Portland Bill in Dorset. In summer the area is filled with wildflowers, like fox gloves and buttercups, which in turn attract an array of butterflies. SY139881

    Salcombe Regis Valley
View down to Salcombe Mouth, with Sidmouth behind
Red sandstone cliffs rise high above this picturesque valley. The footpath leading down from the village car park, through the valley bottom, to Salcombe Mouth is one of the few places along this stretch of coastline that offers access to Salcombe's pebble beach. SY148887
    Weston, Dunscombe and Lincombe
Located between Sidmouth and Seaton, the isolated pebble beach of Weston Mouth is only a short, but steep, walk to the cliffs of Dunscombe and the secluded valley of Lincombe, which is excellent for wild flowers and butterflies. SY166889
View across to Weston Beach and Higher Dunscombe cliffs from Lincombe
    Branscombe
St Winifred's Church nestled in the valley at Branscombe
A traditional village, set deep in a valley, where the National Trust has an information centre, working forge, mill and tea-room. The tea-room is located in an old bakery and the baking room has been preserved as it was left when the last baker vacated in the early 1980s. SY197887
