    Group visits
    A charming manor house and garden, enhanced by a moat and gatehouse and with beautiful oriel windows and a Great Hall. Completed in 1480, the manor and gardens were restored c.1905–11 by Major R. Fuller, whose family live here and manage the property. The house and garden have recently featured in many tv and film productions including Persuasion and The Other Boleyn Girl.
     
    Great Chalfield Manor and Garden is administered for the National Trust by the tenant. Max. 25 in house at any one time. Large groups may be split to see the adjoining church and garden while half tour the house. Coach parking for 1 vehicle. Access by guided tour only. It is essential that coaches approach from B3107 Melksham and Broughton Gifford, otherwise lanes are too narrow and subject to weight restrictions

    Coach parking, drop-off point 80yds. Only 1 coach at a time, park on grass verge near entrance. Essential that drivers are allowed time to approach from Broughton Gifford, as alternative routes are via narrow, twisty lanes
