Hardcastle Crags already hosts a range of special events during the year including a community sculpture trail every summer.

Developments at Gibson Mill will complement the learning and community work that already goes on at the property. The property has a Community Access Officer.

The Mill will provide an indoor learning space for visitors of all ages. This will include exhibitions over three floors that will delve into the colourful history of the Mill and the lives of the people associated with it.

The first floor of Gibson Mill will be home to activities that aim to inspire visitors to explore the natural beauty of the surrounding Hardcastle Crags for themselves.

It will also provide a flexible space for education and community groups to use for workshops, exhibitions and events.
