We invite you to take a trip back in time to the 1760s when wealth and power enabled the creation of Kedleston Hall, a spectacular Neo-classical mansion set in a beautiful landscape park.
Kedleston Hall was designed by Robert Adam. Experience a masterpiece of mid-18th-century English architecture which boasts the most complete sequence of Adam interiors in England.
Kedleston Hall's rooms were designed to impress and show off the family's collection of paintings and sculpture. The Roman-inspired Marble Hall and Saloon form the imposing centrepiece.
Open the doors to a great treasure house. Kedleston Hall was designed to hold a dazzling collection of art and sculpture, but many more surprises await you.
Enjoying Kedleston's outdoors is effortlessly easy. Wander through naturalistic shrubberies, sweeping lawns and meadows, all created by Robert Adam in the mid-18th century when the natural look was all the rage. In the Pleasure Ground you'll discover sculptures, an orangery, a summerhouse and beautiful trees and shrubs.
Despite its natural appearance, Kedleston's 820-acre park is largely man-made. Robert Adam designed it, and dotted it with Neo-classical features including the Fishing Pavilion, the Bridge and a spectacular series of lakes and cascades. It's a great place to walk and watch wildlife.
