Built between 1759 and 1765 for the Curzon family, who have lived in the area since the 12th century, Kedleston boasts the most complete and least-altered sequence of Robert Adam interiors in England. The gardens have been restored in part to an 18th-century 'pleasure ground' and there are several walks around the 820-acre park. Visit during 2009 and find out more about how the property was used as a location for the new British film The Duchess starring Keira Knightley.
