A picturesque cobbled bridge built between 1650 and 1750, Slaters Bridge was used to carry packhorses over the River Brathay as it flows out of Little Langdale Tarn. Undoubtedly one of the finest packhorse bridges to be found anywhere in the world and probably replaced the original wooden bridge. NY312030

The intriguing and rare remains of a Viking settlement, where Viking open-air parliament was held and new laws proclaimed. It is set at the head of Little Langdale, adjacent to Fell Foot farm, at the foot of the Wrynose Pass. NY298031

Offering stunning views of the Langdale Pikes, Blea Tarn is a small lake in one of the most picturesque parts of the Lake District and contains brown perch, trout and pike. There is an all-ability trail here starting from the car park. NY295043

Green Burn Mine is widely regarded as the best preserved copper mine in the Lake District. There is a beautiful walk to these remote remains, which can be accessed from the path near Fell Foot Farm. Pick up a trail leaflet giving further information on site. NY290021

This rocky knoll is just south of Blea Tarn. Climb up to it for a perfectly-framed vista of Blea Tarn with the dramatic backdrop of the Langdale Pikes. NY293041
