    The nearest WCs are in Elterwater and at the head of Great Langdale at the Stickle Gill car park.

    Dogs are welcome. Please keep them under control or on leads, especially in the valley during lambing time from April to mid-May.

    There are no picnic benches, but there are many lovely locations to enjoy a picnic. Please take your litter home with you.

    There are several catering outlets in the nearby villages.

    The Three Shires Inn in Little Langdale serves lunch and dinner.

    There are National Trust walks leaflets about the valley and information leaflets for Greenburn Mine. There is also an information board at the 'Ting Moot' adjacent to Fell Foot farm.

    Two simple holiday cottages, ideal for walking and climbing in and around Little Langdale. High Hall Garth, sleeps 7 and Low Hall Garth sleeps 4.
    Silverthwaite cottage situated in this southern part of the Lake district, enjoys views across this intimate Lakeland valley. Sleeps 7. Available for short breaks and week bookings.

    National Trust self-catering chalet for groups at High Wray, a great place for outdoor activities and voluntary work in the south of the Lake District. Two blocks sleep up to 16 and 20, respectively.
