Little Langdale is served by a network of footpaths and bridle ways, including the Cumbria Way long distance trail. The village of Elterwater is 1½ miles away, along a bridlepath. For more information go to The Cumbrian Way.
By bike
Excellent cycle links by both road and bridle way. National Cycle Network route 37 passes through the valley, linking Ambleside to Ulverston. For more information go to Sustrans
By bus
516 Langdale Rambler, Ambleside-Dungeon Ghyll (via Great Langdale). Alight Elterwater, 1½ miles away. From here there is a quiet road, suitable for pedestrians, to Little Langdale. For more information go to Transport Direct.
By train
Windermere 8½ miles away, then catch a bus to Ambleside for the Langdale Rambler bus to Elterwater.
By road
A593 Ambleside-Coniston and B5343 both pass close by. Minor roads then lead into Little Langdale Valley on the way to the Wrynose and Hardknott passes, or, take the road towards Great Langdale, via the Blea Tarn Pass (both routes are steep and narrow in places).
