    Things to do
    Events  Events
A whole host of events take place throughout the year, from seasonal family trails and open air theatre events, to living history re-enactments and a traditional deerhound racing day.

Please contact us for further information on forthcoming events.

    Family highlights  Family highlights
Pick up a children's quiz trail and tracker pack from Lodge Park. Children can also explore the Sculpture Trail which tells the story of Sherborne through art. Download the 2½ mile trail (PDF/392KB) and go exploring.

The sculptures include a shepherd and his dog, a deer, a giant Stag Beetle and giant bats. The trail eventually leads to the Ice House, where ice was stored in the 19th century.

Keep an eye out for wildlife on your travels too: Roe and Fallow deer, Barn Owls, Water Voles, otters and woodland birds are all resident on the estate.

    Walking  Walking
Enjoy walking across the many acres of woodland and parkland and through the village of Sherborne itself.

There are also three main routes from Ewe Pen Barn which all link into other footpaths on the estate and can make great circular walks.

    Cycling  Cycling
Explore the bridleways by bike, including a pleasant ride from Northfield Barn to the water meadows, crossing through Windrush Camp.

    Horse riding  Horse riding
Enjoy a horse ride along the bridleways through the estate.

    Get involved  Get involved
Lodge Park is looking for room stewards to assist with running events, private functions and weddings.

Volunteer opportunities on Sherborne Estate include dry stone walling and species surveying. The property also works with volunteer and corporate groups.

Please contact us to find out how you can get involved.
