This property is situated in the valley of the River Wye between Buxton and Bakewell and contains a wonderful wealth of scenery, plants, and animals. Limestone crags such as Ravens Tor tower above the river and the banks surrounding the crags contain a profusion of flowers which love the lime rich soils. Bellamy’s Bank, part of this property, is said to be the place where Sir David Bellamy was inspired to follow his subsequent career while he was staying at the local YHA hostel. Ravenstor Hall is let to the YHA and is not open to the public, however the land can be enjoyed by walking the minor road alongside the river to Litton Mill or by following the Monsal Trail on the opposite bank.
How to get there Car park at Miller's Dale Station, occasional summer weekend bus service from Bakewell and Tideswell.
