Described as one of the most beautiful Elizabethan houses in England, Montacute breathes grandeur. With its honey-coloured stone, glittering windows and elegant chimneys, it really is an exceptional venue for any special occasion.
Montacute House works in partnership with the National Portrait Gallery and displays more than 50 of the finest Tudor and Elizabethan portraits from the national collection.
The formal gardens are made up of beautiful mixed borders, old roses and interesting topiary designs, while the house looks out onto a wider estate which encompassing the site of a Norman castle and an 18th-century lookout tower for guests to explore.

Our basic fee of £1,000+VAT covers the use of the room for yourself and your guests, including photography during the ceremony (one photographer only, to be organised by you). We offer several extras…

We ask for a non-refundable deposit of £400+VAT which will secure your booking.
The Great Hall and Drawing Room are both wheelchair accessible, with wheelchair users entering through the West Door. A viewing prior to the visit is essential before a firm booking can be made, and we offer a complimentary visit to the wedding organiser.
