Dogs are welcome, but should be kept on a lead near the rose garden and estate buildings. Please clear up after your dog using the dog bins provided throughout the park.

Enjoy a picnic by the river or at the stable yard, where picnic tables are provided.

The National Trust Riverside Café (NT) serves a range of delicious homemade lunches and tempting cakes near the old walled kitchen garden. It even has its own sausages created specially by a local butcher.

A refreshment kiosk in the rose garden serves light refreshments at weekends and school holidays.

Information about the park and walk trail leaflets are available from the second-hand book shop. Or take a look in the former cow shed at the information displays about the park. Open daily, 8am-6pm.

You can also borrow an Explorer Pack to use in the park, containing four different themed activities based around the history and wildlife of the estate. These are available from the second-hand bookshop, where a small deposit will be required.

The Snuff Mill Environmental Centre offers a wide variety of activities and learning sessions for local community groups, from toddlers to senior citizens! There are also curriculum-focused activities in science, geography and history for pre-school years through to Key Stage 3.

Advanced booking for groups is essential and guided walks or talks can be arranged on request. Please contact us for more information.
