The Jersey Galleries
The Jersey Galleries, in the west range of ground floor rooms at the house, was once servants' accommodation. They retain many original features and are decorated in keeping with the 18th-century house.
Opened in 1995, they form an integral part of the artistic community of the area. The exhibition programme is balanced each year to suit all tastes and ages, including photography, sculpture, ceramics, contemporary paintings, embroidery and video installations.
It is intended that the Jersey Galleries programme challenges perceptions of the National Trust. You can meet the artists, and most of their work is for sale.
The Garden Gallery
Located within the private walled garden adjacent to the stableyard, the Garden Gallery was created as a studio for our artists-in-residence.
The one-room gallery offers a special and intimate art space with a programme of typically one to two week exhibitions.
