The romantic red coloured stone of the Castle, coupled with its incredible aspect overlooking the Severn Valley, makes us the perfect venue for your Special Day. The world famous garden, with its Italianate terraces and formal garden, provides the perfect backdrop for your wedding photography.
About the rooms There is a choice of five rooms licensed for civil wedding ceremonies, including the sumptuous Ballroom and elegant Orangery. We have a maximum of only six weddings a year, making Powis Castle and Garden one of the most exclusive venues for a civil wedding ceremony in Britain.
The Ballroom The Ballroom was built in 1776 by the 2nd Earl of Powis for his 21st birthday celebrations. It is our largest room licensed for weddings, holding up to 100 people, giving both a grandness and opulence to your day.
The Clive Museum This is our most intimate room. It houses one of the most important collections of Indian treasures in Britain.
The Restaurant The Restaurant is on the ground floor and has disabled access. It can be dressed to match your chosen colour scheme.
The Orangery The Orangery is situated on the 18th-century terraces. It is the perfect room for those wishing to take full advantage of the stunning backdrop of the gardens and Severn valley beyond.
The Housekeeper’s Parlour The Housekeeper’s Parlour is a smaller, more private room, with its own distinctive character.
