Built in 1729 by Captain John Harle, the house was a showcase for the high-quality building materials which he sold. Currently sparsely furnished and awaiting conservation work, there is extensive panelling, an elegant carved staircase, plasterwork, original trompe l'oeil decoration, fine ironwork gates and railings, and much more.
