About this property
Built as part of the Chartist Land Plan, the cottage has been restored to reflect the conditions in which the early Chartists lived. Period features include a dairy, working range, water pump and earth closet. The garden is managed on an organic basis by volunteers. The orchard contains many of the original trees and the vegetable garden is planted with pre-1900 varieties.
