About this property This rambling, atmospheric house spans the centuries with a fine Great Hall and priest hole from the 16th century and an Oak Parlour and smaller cosy rooms from the Victorian era. Jacobean plasterwork and intricately carved furniture complete the picture. The fully equipped Victorian kitchen and servants' hall give a fascinating 'below stairs' experience. A lively trail and Tracker Packs, along with objects from the Dairy to be picked up and wondered at, mean children will be entertained. While the 21st-century Podcast tours will delight you and perhaps even your teenagers. Wander through the garden for all seasons and enjoy spring bulbs, roses, summer borders, a delightful stream and autumn colour. Woodland walks give fabulous views of the North Wales hills and Mersey basin, while Home Farm, a model Victorian farm building, houses our shop and restaurant serving local food. There is also an orchard and children's play area.
