St David's visitor centre, shop and cross
National Trust visitor centre and shop in the small Pembrokeshire city of St David's
The visitor centre offers a lively introduction to National Trust places to visit in Pembrokeshire. Nearby, we own the medieval cross which marks the centre of St David's. Its one of many along an historic route of pilgramage to the cathedral. The cathedral itself was built with stone from our cliffs at Caerbwdy on the Solva coast. SM753253

    St David's Head
A dramatic headland northwest of St David's and Whitesands beach dominated by the peak of Carn Llidi. Super for sea views and circular coastal walks. Look out for the little cove of Porthmelgan, the great stone chambered grave of Coetan Arthur and ancient field systems. The heathland glows purple and gold with blooming heather in late summer. Treginnis Peninsula
The cliffs at Treginnis, St David's Peninsula
This weathered peninsula southwest of St David's and opposite Ramsey Island (RSPB) is home to the oldest rocks in Pembrokeshire. Walk the coast path from Porthclais Harbour to discover the RNLI's unusual St Justinian lifeboat station and ancient coastal mine workings. SM724240
    St David's Commons
The wet heaths of Dowrog, Tretio, Waun Fawr and St David's airfield are surviving fragments of an extensive area of commons. We're restoring them as part of the 'Living Heathland' project, by grazing with cattle and Welsh ponies. They're a really important habitat for plants and insects like the lesser butterfly orchid and the small red damselfly. SM772270

    Llanferran and Pwll Caerog
    View of St David's Peninsula
Boasting fantastic coastal locations northeast of St David's Head, these are two of the many tenanted farms which make up our St David's Peninsula estate. Pwll Caerog offers a bunkhouse and small camping and caravan site. Llanferran is just to the east of Pen Beri, another rocky volcanic peak that dominates the landscape. SM760290
