Civil Ceremonies
The Temple of Concord and Victory
Looking out over the gentle slopes of the Grecian Valley, the spectacular 18th-century Temple of Concord and Victory makes a beautiful venue for your wedding.
- Capacity: 100
- Price: £2,800 from April to September, or £2,350 from October to March
The Temple of Venus
For a more intimate wedding venue the romantic Temple of Venus overlooking the tranquil Eleven Acre Lake is the perfect location.
- Capacity: 40
- Price: £2,300 from April to September, or £1,850 from October to March
The Temple of Ancient Virtue
Situated in the enchanting Elysian Fields, the Temple of Ancient Virtue boasts stunning views over the Worthies River and is a beautiful setting for guests to enjoy drinks after a wedding ceremony or before a wedding reception.
- Price: £500 for a drinks reception
Receptions
We have four sites in the gardens where a marquee can be erected for a wedding reception. From any of these beautiful settings in the gardens you and your guests can enjoy spectacular views and a peaceful atmosphere.
The Temple of Concord and Victory Site
A marquee can be situated next to the impressive Temple of Concord and Victory (also licensed for civil ceremonies) with beautiful views out over the Grecian Valley.

- Price if the wedding ceremony is being held in the gardens : £1,500 from April to September, or £1,050 from October to March
- Price if the wedding ceremony is not being held in the gardens : £2,000 from April to September, or £1,650 from October to March
The Temple of Venus Site
A quiet and secluded area of the garden in front of the Temple of Venus (also licensed for civil ceremonies) overlooking the Eleven Acre Lake.
- Capacity: 300

- Price if the wedding ceremony is not being held in the gardens : £2,500 from April to September, or £2,050 from October to March
The Temple of Friendship Site
Situated in front of the romantic ruin of the Temple of Friendship this site has stunning views of the Palladian Bridge which crosses the Octagon Lake. Also in view from this site are the GothicTemple, QueensTemple and Lord Cobham’s Monument.

The Lake Pavilions Site
Last but certainly not least is a site in between the Lake Pavilions with arguably the most spectacular views in the gardens, on one side the view across the Octagon Lake up to the stunning Stowe House and on the other views out across the Parkland to the striking Corinthian Arch.

- Price if the wedding ceremony is being held in the gardens : £4,500 from April to September, or £4,050 from October to March

When can weddings be held at Stowe Landscape Gardens?
Stowe Landscape Gardens is available to be hired for a limited number of weddings each year, these can be held on any day of the week, year round.
